The general meeting, done properly — with half the work.
Clubs, associations and cooperatives run on volunteers. Solon does the paperwork: the vote, the count and the record.
What goes wrong today
The meeting nobody attends
Quorum is missed, the vote is postponed, and the board decides alone.
Minutes weeks later
Written from memory by a volunteer who would rather be doing anything else.
Who is actually a member?
The list lives in a spreadsheet, and nobody is sure it is current.
How Solon helps
Your statutes as rules
Start from the association template and set your own quorums and majorities.
Members vote from home
The meeting happens in the room and online at the same time; every vote is counted.
On the record as it happens
Every proposal and result is on the record the moment it is decided.
A roster you can trust
One seat per member, and a clear record of who joined and when.
Decisions groups like yours make
- Elect the board
- Approve the annual accounts
- Change the membership fee
- Amend the statutes
What works today
- Proposals and votes
Members propose in plain words and vote with one click; they can change their vote until it closes.
Available now - Rule templates
Five ready-made rule sets — town, association, co-op, collective, company board — to start from.
Available now - The governance agent
Not built yet. It will draft proposals, keep members informed and check spending against decisions.
In development - Admission by vote
Someone asks to join; the members decide, and the record shows who admitted whom.
Planned - Bank accounts, not only Bitcoin
Import bank statements so every payment is matched against the decision that allowed it.

A place to start
Solon's rule template for this kind of group sets who may vote on what, how votes are counted, and how many must agree. It is a starting point: your group changes it by vote.
Compare the templatesHow this works in detail
The association template follows the structure of the Swiss Verein (Art. 60 ff. Civil Code): the general meeting as the supreme body, simple majorities for ordinary business, and a higher bar for changing the statutes.
Whether a vote held on Solon satisfies your statutes and the law depends on what your statutes allow — many permit written or electronic votes, some do not. We will look at yours with you before your first real decision.
