1 Nach erfolgter Einäscherung wird die Asche in einer Urne gesammelt. Diese wird wie folgt verschlossen: - Tonurne mit Blei verplombt, - Metallurne verschraubt, - Holzurne verschraubt, - Leihurne unverschraubt. Für Urnenreihengräber, das Gemeinschaftsgrab mit Schrifttafel und für Beisetzungen auf Erdbestattungsgräbern werden verrottbare Urnen abgegeben. Damit entfällt ein späterer Anspruch auf die Asche. Das Bestattungsamt kann Ausnahmen gestatten. 2 Über die vollzogene Kremation wird eine Bescheinigung ausgestellt, sofern die Urne nicht in der Gemeinde Thun beigesetzt wird. 3 Die Auswahl der Urnen durch die Angehörigen ist im Umfang der durch die Gemeinde bereitgestellten Typen möglich. 4 Das Umfüllen von Asche aus Leihurnen in Privaturnen ist im Krematorium und auf dem Friedhofsareal nicht gestattet.
