Propose a change

Title 7 Criminal Procedure

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it

Your change, as a redline

7-8-101. Arrest by private person.

(a) A person who is not a peace officer may arrest another for: (i) A felony committed in his presence; (ii) A felony which has been committed, even though not in his presence, if he has probable cause to believe the person to be arrested committed it; or (iii) The following misdemeanors committed in his presence: (A) A misdemeanor theft offense defined by W.S. 6-3-402; or (B) A misdemeanor property destruction offense defined by W.S. 6-3-201.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
