Parliamentary Buildings (Restoration and Renewal) Act 2019
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

1 “The Parliamentary building works”
(1) In this Act “the Parliamentary building works” means— (a) works for the restoration of the Palace of Westminster, (b) works relating to the Parliamentary Estate, other than works within paragraph (a), that are designated for the purposes of this paragraph by the House Commissions with the agreement of the Sponsor Body and the Delivery Authority, and (c) works in connection with the restoration of the Palace of Westminster that— (i) relate to land that does not form part of the Parliamentary Estate on the first day on which any provision of this section comes into force, (ii) are not within paragraph (b), and (iii) are not designated as excluded from this paragraph by the House Commissions. (2) References in this Act to “Palace restoration works” are to— (a) works within subsection (1)(a), and (b) works within subsection (1)(c). (3) If either House of Parliament is located somewhere other than the Palace of Westminster while the Parliamentary building works are carried out, the functions under this Act in relation to the works must be exercised with a view to facilitating the return of that House to the Palace of Westminster as soon as is reasonably practicable.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
