Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

44 Duty to remove services from supplementary notes

(1) Where a person has a supplementary note included in their entry in the DVS register in respect of digital verification services, subsection (2) applies if the person— (a) asks for the note to be amended so that it no longer records one or more of those services, (b) ceases to provide one or more of the services recorded in the note (but not all of them), or (c) no longer holds a certificate from an accredited conformity assessment body certifying that all of the services included in the note are provided in accordance with a supplementary code. (2) The Secretary of State must amend the supplementary note so it no longer records (as the case may be)— (a) the service or services mentioned in a request described in subsection (1)(a), (b) the service or services which the person has ceased to provide, or (c) the service or services for which there is no longer a certificate as described in subsection (1)(c). (3) For the purposes of subsection (1)(c), a certificate is to be ignored if— (a) it has expired in accordance with its terms, (b) it has been withdrawn by the body that issued it, or (c) it is required to be ignored by reason of provision included in the supplementary code as a result of section 29(9).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
