Diese Verordnung regelt ergänzend zu den kantonalen Erlassen4 und Weisungen über die Archivierung a die Aufbewahrung von amtlichen Unterlagen der Stadt Thun sowie von Unterlagen, welche für die Geschichte der Stadt von Bedeutung sind, b die Übernahme und Aufbewahrung von Privatarchiven (z.B. Nachlässe), c die Benützung der Bestände und die Aufgaben des Stadtarchivs und d die Gebühren des Stadtarchivs.
