Propose a change

Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

F1 Interim respect orders

(1) This section applies where the court adjourns the hearing of an application (whether made with notice or without) for a respect order. (2) The court may make a respect order lasting until the final hearing of the application or until further order (an “interim respect order”) if the court considers it just to do so. (3) An interim respect order made at a hearing of which the respondent was not given notice may not have the effect of requiring the respondent to participate in particular activities. (4) Subject to that, the court has the same powers in relation to an interim respect order as it has in relation to a respect order made at a final hearing.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
