Die Bundesregierung kann jährlich bestimmen, in welchem Umfange Beamten der Laufbahn des mittleren Polizeivollzugsdienstes in der Regel bis zur Besoldungsgruppe A 7 der Bundesbesoldungsordnung freie, frei werdende und neu geschaffene Planstellen für Beamte des mittleren Dienstes beim Bund und bei den bundesunmittelbaren Körperschaften, Anstalten und Stiftungen des öffentlichen Rechts vorbehalten werden.
