Title 34.1 Uniform Commercial Code

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Your change, as a redline

34.1-9-605. Unknown debtor or secondary obligor.

(a) A secured party does not owe a duty based on its status as secured party: (i) To a person that is a debtor or obligor, unless the secured party knows: (A) That the person is a debtor or obligor; (B) The identity of the person; and (C) How to communicate with the person; or (ii) To a secured party or lienholder that has filed a financing statement against a person, unless the secured party knows: (A) That the person is a debtor; and (B) The identity of the person.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
