§ 2. Korraliste valimiste toimumise aeg
(1) Riigikogu korralised valimised toimuvad märtsikuu esimesel pühapäeval neljandal aastal, mis järgneb Riigikogu eelmiste valimiste aastale. (2) Riigikogu korralised valimised kuulutab välja Vabariigi President oma otsusega Eesti Vabariigi põhiseaduse § 78 punkti 3 alusel vähemalt kolm kuud enne valimispäeva.
