Climate Change Act 2008
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
80 Report on climate change: Wales
(1) It is the duty of the Welsh Ministers to lay before the National Assembly for Wales from time to time a report on— (a) the objectives of the Welsh Ministers in relation to greenhouse gas emissions and the impact of climate change in Wales, (b) the action that has been taken by the Welsh Ministers and others to deal with such emissions and that impact, and (c) the future priorities for the Welsh Ministers and others for dealing with such emissions and that impact. (2) The report must, in particular, set out how the Welsh Ministers intend to exercise the power to give directions under section 67 (directions to reporting authorities to prepare adaptation reports). (3) Nothing in a report under this section affects the exercise of the Welsh Ministers' power under that section. (4) The second and each subsequent report under this section must contain an assessment of the progress made towards implementing the objectives mentioned in the earlier reports. (5) In this section “Wales” has the same meaning as in the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c. 32).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
