Title 33 Professions and Occupations

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

33-30-207. Examinations generally.

(a) The board shall hold at least one (1) examination of applicants for license to practice veterinary medicine during each year and may hold such additional examinations as are necessary. (b) The preparation, administration, and grading of examinations shall be governed by rules prescribed by the board. Examinations shall be designed to test the examinee's knowledge of and proficiency in the subjects and techniques commonly taught in colleges of veterinary medicine. To pass the examination, the examinee must demonstrate scientific and practical knowledge of the highest competency to prove himself qualified to practice veterinary medicine in the judgment of the board. All examinees shall be tested by a written examination, supplemented by such oral interviews and practical demonstrations as the board may deem necessary. The board may adopt and use the examination prepared by the national board of veterinary examiners. (c) After each examination the board shall notify each examinee of the result of his examination, and the board shall issue licenses to the persons successfully completing the examination. The board shall record the new licenses and issue certificates of registration to the new licensees. Any person failing an examination shall be admitted to any subsequent examination on payment of the application fee. (d) Each licensee shall be entitled to exercise all the rights and privileges of a doctor of veterinary medicine; provided, however, any person practicing veterinary medicine shall be governed by the laws of this state and the rules adopted by the board.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
