Mortgage Repossessions (Protection of Tenants etc) Act 2010
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

3 Interpretation
(1) This section applies for the purposes of this Act. (2) “Dwelling-house” includes any building, or part of a building, that is used as a dwelling. (3) The fact that part of the premises comprised in a dwelling-house is used as a shop or office, or for other business, trade or professional purposes, does not prevent the dwelling-house from being a dwelling-house for the purposes of this Act. (4) “Mortgage” includes a charge, and “mortgagee” is to be read accordingly. (5) “Mortgagee” includes any person deriving title under the original mortgagee. (6) “Order” includes a judgment, and references to the making of an order are to be read accordingly.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
