Title 18 Counties

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

18-3-510. Claims against county to be itemized and verified; penalty.

(a) No claim against the county shall be allowed by the board of county commissioners unless it is properly dated and itemized and the value of each item specifically described, and when no specified fees are allowed by law, the date that such services were rendered and the time actually and necessarily devoted to the performance of any service. Each claim shall be accompanied by an affidavit, stating that the claim is just and correct and that no part of the claim has been paid by the county or other person. The board of county commissioners may disallow any account, in whole or in part, when so rendered and verified, and may require further evidence of the truth and propriety of the claim. This section does not apply to claims under the Wyoming Governmental Claims Act. (b) The board of county commissioners shall be held responsible on their official bonds to the full amount of any claim allowed, to be recovered in an action of debt for the use of the county, should the evidence show that any part of any claim has been allowed by any board of county commissioners contrary to the provisions of this section.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
