35 Power of ministers to take over enforcement functions
(1) The Secretary of State may direct that, in relation to cases of a particular description or a particular case, the duty imposed by section 32(1) on a relevant enforcement authority in England is to be discharged by the Secretary of State and not by the authority. (2) The Welsh Ministers may direct that, in relation to cases of a particular description or a particular case, the duty imposed by section 32(1) on a local weights and measures authority in Wales is to be discharged by the Welsh Ministers and not by the authority.
