Das Bundessortenamt bestimmt, wann, wo und in welcher Menge und Beschaffenheit das Vermehrungsmaterial oder Saatgut für die Registerprüfung sowie das Saatgut für die Wertprüfung und bei Sorten von Rebe für die Prüfung der physiologischen Merkmale vorzulegen ist. Das Vermehrungsmaterial oder Saatgut darf keiner Behandlung unterzogen worden sein, soweit nicht das Bundessortenamt eine solche vorgeschrieben oder gestattet hat.
