Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
255 Excluded contracts
(1) A contract is an excluded contract for the purposes of this Chapter if, and to the extent that, it is of a description set out in Schedule 22. (2) The Secretary of State may by regulations amend Schedule 22 so as to add, remove or modify a description of a contract. (3) The power under subsection (2) includes power to provide for a contract to be an excluded contract— (a) generally for the purposes of this Chapter, or (b) only for such purposes of this Chapter as are specified. (4) Regulations under subsection (2) are subject to the affirmative procedure. (5) See section 275(4) to (8) for how this Chapter applies in relation to a contract that— (a) was an excluded contract at the time it was entered into, and (b) on subsequently ceasing to be an excluded contract, becomes a subscription contract.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
