Title 14 Children

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Your change, as a redline

14-6-313. Program participation as an alternative to probation revocation.

(a) The department may, as an alternative to recommending revocation of probation, offer any juvenile probationer who is not already participating in an intensive supervision program the opportunity to participate in a program authorized under this article, provided: (i) Space and funding are available for the probationer's participation in the program; (ii) The department determines the probationer has a reasonable likelihood of successfully participating in the program; (iii) The probationer agrees to participate in the program; and (iv) The department shall notify the juvenile court and the prosecuting attorney of the probationer's agreement to participate in an intensive supervision program and provide a copy of the signed agreement to the juvenile court and the prosecuting attorney.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
