Childcare Act 2006
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
70 Voluntary removal from a childcare register: early years and later years providers
(1) A person registered under Chapter 2, 3 or 4 may give notice to the Chief Inspector that he wishes to be removed from the early years register or (as the case may be) from Part A or B of the general childcare register. (3) The Chief Inspector must not act under subsection (2) if— (a) the Chief Inspector has sent the person a notice (in pursuance of section 73(2)) of his intention to cancel his registration, and (b) the Chief Inspector has not decided that he no longer intends to take that step. (4) The Chief Inspector must not act under subsection (2) if— (a) the Chief Inspector has sent the person a notice (in pursuance of section 73(7)) of his decision to cancel his registration, and (b) the time within which an appeal under section 74 may be brought has not expired or, if such an appeal has been brought, it has not been determined. (5) Subsections (3) and (4) do not apply if the person is seeking removal from Part B of the general childcare register.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
