Business Rate Supplements Act 2009
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
5 Prospectus
(1) Any initial or final prospectus must include the information specified in Schedule 1 (and may include such other information as the levying authority thinks appropriate). (2) The function of the levying authority of approving a final prospectus before publication is a function that must be discharged only by the whole authority; but that does not apply in the case of the Greater London Authority. (3) After publishing an initial or final prospectus, a levying authority must— (a) place an electronic copy of the published prospectus on its website, and (b) make copies of the published prospectus available for inspection at its principal office at all reasonable times of the day. (4) In a case where two or more levying authorities are acting jointly by virtue of section 2, each authority must separately— (a) discharge the function of approving a final prospectus before publication, and (b) comply with the duty imposed by subsection (3). (5) Regulations may amend Schedule 1 so as to add, vary or omit a description of information.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
