Planning and Infrastructure Act 2025

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

95 Duty of co-operation

(1) A public authority in England must co-operate with Natural England and give it such reasonable assistance as it requests in connection with the preparation or implementation of an EDP. (2) The things that a public authority may be required to do under the duty in subsection (1) include, in particular— (a) the provision of information to Natural England; (b) the imposition or variation of a condition of development; (c) assistance with the implementation of conservation measures. (3) A public authority must have regard to any guidance given by the Secretary of State about how the duty in subsection (1) is to be complied with. (4) Subsection (1) does not apply to— (a) a court or tribunal, (b) either House of Parliament, or (c) a person exercising a parliamentary function. (5) The duty in subsection (1) does not operate to require a disclosure or use of information that would contravene the data protection legislation (but in determining whether a disclosure or use would do so, the duty is to be taken into account). (6) In this section “data protection legislation” has the same meaning as in the Data Protection Act 2018 (see section 3 of that Act).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
