RSA 38-A Municipal Transit Authority

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Bonds of the authority shall be authorized by its resolution and may be issued in one or more series and shall bear such date or dates, mature at such time or times, bear interest at such rate or rates, be in such denomination or denominations, be in such form, either coupon or registered, carry such conversion or registration privileges, have such rank or priority, be executed in such manner, be payable in such medium of payment, at such place or places and be subject to such terms of redemption (with or without premium) as such resolutions, its trust indenture or mortgage may provide. In case any of the members or officers of the authority whose signatures appear on any bond or coupon shall cease to be such members or officers before the delivery of such bonds, such signatures shall nevertheless be valid and sufficient for all purposes. All bonds may be signed on behalf of the authority by, or with the facsimile signatures of, such persons as at the actual date of such execution shall be the proper officers authorized by resolution of the authority to execute said bonds, notwithstanding the fact that on the day said bonds are dated, or on the date of the delivery thereof, any such person shall not have been such officer. One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
