Care Act 2014
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

30 Cases where adult expresses preference for particular accommodation
(1) Regulations may provide that where— (a) a local authority is going to meet needs under sections 18 to 20 by providing or arranging for the provision of accommodation of a specified type, (b) the adult for whom the accommodation is going to be provided expresses a preference for particular accommodation of that type, and (c) specified conditions are met, the local authority must provide or arrange for the provision of the preferred accommodation. (2) The regulations may provide for the adult or a person of a specified description to pay for some or all of the additional cost in specified cases or circumstances. (3) “Additional cost” means the cost of providing or arranging for the provision of the preferred accommodation less that part of the amount specified in the personal budget for the purposes of section 26(1)(a) that relates to the provision of accommodation of that type.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
