Propose a change

Title 11 Agriculture, Livestock and Other Animals

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

11-5-117. Criminal provision; penalty; civil penalties; limitations; necessary proof.

(a) Any person violating any provision of this act is guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) in addition to fines provided for in W.S. 11-5-109(e). (b) In any proceeding to impose any fine or penalty for any failure to perform a remedial requirement ordered by a district board for control of a weed or pest in any infested area, the district board shall have the burden of proving: (i) That the proposed remedial action would control the target weed or pest; (ii) That the remedial action would be a cost effective action and would be more cost effective than any alternative action proposed or adopted by the landowner; and (iii) That the weed or pest to be controlled was at risk of spreading to the land of others in the area.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
