Steel Industry (Nationalisation) Act 2026

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

25 Supplemental property transfer regulations

(1) This section applies where the Secretary of State has made property transfer regulations under section 15 in respect of property, rights or liabilities of a steel undertaking (the “original regulations”). (2) The Secretary of State may make supplemental property transfer regulations. (3) Supplemental property transfer regulations are property transfer regulations which— (a) provide for property, rights or liabilities to be transferred from the transferor under the original regulations (whether accruing or arising before or after the original regulations); (b) make other provision of a kind that the original property transfer regulations may make under section 15(3) (whether in connection with a transfer under the original regulations or in connection with a transfer under those or other supplemental regulations). (4) Supplemental property transfer regulations are to be treated in the same way as any other property transfer regulations for all other purposes, including for the purposes of the application of a power under this Part. (5) The possibility of making supplemental property transfer regulations in reliance on subsection (2) is without prejudice to the possibility of making of new regulations in accordance with section 15 (and not in reliance on subsection (2) above).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
