Title 31 Motor Vehicles

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it

Your change, as a redline

31-7-130. Commencement of cancellation, suspension or revocation.

(a) Except as otherwise provided by law, a cancellation, suspension or revocation by the division under this act or any other law shall commence the later of: (i) Twenty (20) days after notice of intent to suspend or revoke is given by the division; (ii) If a hearing is requested in a timely manner, at the conclusion of the hearing process; or (iii) If the person's license or privilege to drive was suspended or revoked at the time an additional suspension or revocation would have commenced under paragraph (a)(i) or (ii) of this section or other law, on the date that prior suspension or revocation expires.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
