Title 31 Motor Vehicles

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

31-9-207. Form and amount of security; reduction or increase.

(a) The security required under W.S. 31-9-202, 31-9-203 and 31-9-205 through 31-9-209 shall be in such form and in such amount as the division may require but in no case in excess of the limits specified in W.S. 31-9-202. The person depositing security shall specify in writing the person on whose behalf the deposit is made and, at any time while the deposit is in the custody of the division or state treasurer, the person depositing it may, in writing, amend the specification of the person or persons on whose behalf the deposit is made to include an additional person or persons. A single deposit of security is applicable only on behalf of persons required to furnish security because of the same accident. (b) The division may reduce or increase the amount of security ordered in any case within six (6) months after the date of the accident if, in its judgment, the amount ordered is excessive or insufficient. If the security originally ordered has been deposited the excess deposited over the reduced amount ordered shall be returned to the depositor or his personal representative forthwith, notwithstanding W.S. 31-9-208.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
