1 Alle Bürger sind vor dem Gesetze gleich. 2 Es gibt im Wallis kein Vorrecht des Ortes, der Geburt, der Personen oder Familien. a In der Verfassung gilt jede Bezeichnung der Person, des Status oder der Funktion in gleicher Weise für Mann oder Frau. Angenommen in der Volksabstimmung vom 24. Okt. 1993, in Kraft seit 1. Juni 1994. Gewährleistungsbeschluss vom 12. Juni 1995 (BBl 1995 III 567 Art. 1 Ziff. 5 I 969).
