Title 9 Administration of the Government

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

9-2-3205. Professional liability insurance for peace officers; limits of policy; definition of peace officer.

(a) The state of Wyoming through the department shall purchase a comprehensive professional liability policy providing coverage for all peace officers if: (i) Coverage is available at a reasonable cost; and (ii) It is economically more feasible to provide coverage through the purchase of insurance than through self-insurance as provided by W.S. 1-41-101 through 1-41-111. (b) The limits of the policy shall be no less than the present limits of liability insurance purchased by the state for state law enforcement officers. The policy may provide for a deductible or a retention up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) which is the responsibility of the governmental entity employing the peace officer for whom the claim was paid. (c) For the purposes of this section, "peace officer" means as defined by W.S. 7-2-101.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
