Title 26 Insurance Code

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

26-13-113. Deductible amount of collision coverage; subrogation; right to deductible.

(a) If an insurer pays a loss claim to its insured and the insurer decides to subrogate to the insured's loss claim, the deductible amount shall be included in the subrogated loss claim and the insurance carrier shall pay the deductible amount to its insured, without any deduction for expenses of collection, out of any recovery on the subrogated claim, before any part of the recovery is applied to any other use. If the amount of the deductible exceeds the recovery, the insurer shall pay only the amount of the recovery to the insured. (b) If in any arbitration of the subrogated claim two (2) or more insurers agree to offset the claims of their insureds, the right of any insured to the return of his full deductible amount shall not be abridged.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
