Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
27 Delegation of enforcement functions
(1) The Secretary of State may by regulations authorise any person to exercise any enforcement function of the Secretary of State. (2) Regulations under this section may provide for payments to be made by the Secretary of State in respect of the performance of any enforcement function. (3) Regulations under this section do not prevent the Secretary of State from performing a function to which the regulations relate. (4) In this Part “enforcement function” means— (a) any function of the Secretary of State under this Chapter; (b) any function of the Secretary of State under Schedule 5 to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, so far as exercisable for the purposes of this Part. (5) Accordingly, in the case of the exercise of an enforcement function by a person authorised by regulations under this section to exercise that function, any reference in this Chapter or that Schedule to the Secretary of State in connection with that function is to be read as a reference to that person. One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
