Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
6 Excepted products
(1) In this Part “excepted product” means a product of a description specified in regulations made by the Secretary of State. (2) The provision that may be made by regulations under this section includes, among other things— (a) provision as to whether, in a case where a product (“the secondary product”) is incorporated into or attached to, or otherwise forms part of, another product (“the primary product”), the primary product is, or is not, to be regarded as an excepted product; (b) provision as to whether, in such a case, the secondary product is, or is not, to be regarded as an excepted product. (3) Regulations under this section are subject to the negative resolution procedure if the only provision they make under this section is provision— (a) varying any description of product specified in regulations under this section, or (b) specifying any description of product in relation to which requirements relating to security that, in the opinion of the Secretary of State, are equivalent to those specified under this Part will apply. (4) Except as provided by subsection (3), regulations under this section are subject to the affirmative resolution procedure.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
