19-K:1 Legislative Youth Advisory Council Established.

A legislative youth advisory council is established to enable young people the ability to review legislation and make recommendations on legislation as viewed from the perspective of youth. The primary focus shall be to identify legislation that affects youth in the areas of education, science and technology, transportation, labor, and substance misuse. Once legislation is identified, the council should discuss the legislation with the legislation's primary and co-sponsors to seek their views in order to advise the legislative committees. The council shall submit an annual report with recommendations for future legislation as outlined in RSA 19-K:3, VI. Source. 2024, 217:1, eff. July 19, 2024.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
