Propose a change

Title 16 City, County, State and Local Powers

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Your change, as a redline

16-2-102. Facsimile signature; authorized use; legal effect.

(a) After filing with the secretary of state his manual signature certified by him under oath, any authorized officer may execute or cause to be executed with a facsimile signature in lieu of his manual signature: (i) Any public security, provided that at least one (1) signature required or permitted to be placed thereon shall be manually subscribed; and (ii) Any instrument of payment. One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
