National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

87 Inadequate provision of pharmaceutical services

(1) Subsection (2) applies if the Welsh Ministers are satisfied, after such inquiry as they consider appropriate, that— (a) as respects the area, or part of the area, of a Local Health Board, the persons whose names are included in any pharmaceutical list are not such as to secure the adequate provision of pharmaceutical services in that area or part, or (b) for any other reason any considerable number of persons in any such area or part are not receiving satisfactory services under the arrangements in force under this Chapter. (2) Where this subsection applies, the Welsh Ministers— (a) may authorise the Local Health Board to make such other arrangements as the Welsh Ministers may approve, or may themselves make such other arrangements, and (b) may dispense with any of the requirements of regulations made under this Chapter or Part 8 so far as appears to the Welsh Ministers necessary to meet exceptional circumstances and enable such arrangements to be made.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
