§ 15. Laevahüpoteegi mõiste
(1) Laeva võib laevahüpoteegiga koormata selliselt, et isikul, kelle kasuks laevahüpoteek on seatud (hüpoteegipidaja), on õigus laevahüpoteegiga tagatud nõude rahuldamisele panditud laeva arvel. (2) Osa laevast (laevaosa) võib koormata eraldi laevahüpoteegiga, kui see on kaasomaniku osa. Osa kaasomaniku osast ei või laevahüpoteegiga koormata. (3) Laevahüpoteek ei eelda tagatavat nõuet.
