Higher Education and Research Act 2017
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
62 Power to require information from unregistered providers
(1) The OfS may by notice require the governing body of an unregistered provider to provide the OfS with such information for the purposes of the performance of the OfS's functions as the OfS requests in the notice. (2) A notice under subsection (1) may require the information to be provided— (a) by a time specified in the notice, and (b) in a form and manner specified in the notice. (3) If a governing body fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1) and does not satisfy the OfS that it is unable to provide the information, the OfS may enforce the duty to comply with the notice in civil proceedings for an injunction. (4) “An unregistered provider” is an English higher education provider which is not a registered higher education provider. (5) See section 8(1)(b) for the ongoing registration condition of a registered higher education provider to provide information to the OfS.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
