Title 15 Cities and Towns

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Your change, as a redline

15-4-102. Departments; powers; administrators.

(a) The executive and administrative powers, authority and duties in cities and towns adopting this form of government shall be distributed among three (3) departments, as follows: (i) Department of public affairs and safety, to be administered by the mayor; (ii) Department of accounts, finance, parks and public property, to be administered by the commissioner of finances and public property; (iii) Department of streets and public improvements, to be administered by the commissioner of streets and public improvements.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
