Steel Industry (Special Measures) Act 2025
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

4 Offences
(1) A steel undertaking, or a relevant person in relation to such an undertaking, commits an offence if, without reasonable excuse, they fail to comply with a direction under section 2. (2) A group undertaking in relation to the steel undertaking commits an offence if it does (or fails to do) anything with the intention of preventing or hindering the steel undertaking, or a relevant person in relation to that undertaking, from complying with a direction under section 2. (4) Where an offence under this section is committed by an undertaking with the consent or connivance of a relevant person in relation to the undertaking, or a person purporting to act in the capacity of a relevant person in relation to the undertaking, the person (as well as the undertaking) commits the offence and is liable to be proceeded against and punished accordingly. (5) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable— (a) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or a fine (or both); (b) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding the general limit in a magistrates’ court or a fine (or both).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
