Title 37 Public Utilities

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

What to do with it
As published

37-7-206. System to remain subject to mortgage lien;

proceedings to compel performance of official duties; forced sale not authorized. Such system so purchased, constructed, improved, enlarged, extended or repaired shall remain subject to said statutory mortgage lien until payment in full of the principal of and interest upon said bonds. Any holder of any of said bonds or of any of the coupons representing interest accrued thereon, may, either at law or in equity, by suit, action, mandamus, or other proceedings, protect and enforce said statutory mortgage lien, and may, by suit, action, mandamus, or other proceedings, enforce and compel performance of all duties of the officials of the borrower, including the fixing of sufficient rates, the collection of revenues, the proper segregation of the revenues of the system, and the proper application thereof. Provided, however, that said statutory mortgage lien shall not be construed to give any such bond or coupon holder authority to compel the sale of such system or any part thereof.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
