1 Fedpol führt das schweizerische SIRENE-Büro. Es kann organisatorisch-technische Weisungen erlassen, welche die Aufgaben des SIRENE-Büros konkretisieren.
2 Das SIRENE-Büro ist Anlauf- und Verbindungsstelle für:
a. die verschiedenen Behörden der Schweiz;
b. die SIRENE-Büros und weitere für die SIS-Zusammenarbeit zuständige Behörden der Schengen-Staaten.
3 Es stellt einen 24-Stunden-Bereitschaftsdienst sicher.
