Child Care Act 1980 (repealed 14.10.1991)
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
67 Appeals by parents etc.
(1) Subsections (2) to (7) of section 3 of this Act shall apply to a resolution under section 64 of this Act as they apply to a resolution under the said section 3, with the substitution for the reference in subsection (2) to the vesting of parental rights and duties in the local authority of a reference to the vesting of parental rights and duties in the voluntary organisation. (2) An appeal may be made— (a) where the complaint relates to a resolution under section 64 of this Act, by a person deprived of parental rights and duties by the resolution, or (b) where the complaint relates to a resolution under section 65 of this Act, by a person who but for that resolution and an earlier resolution under section 64 would have parental rights and duties, to a juvenile court having jurisdiction in the area of the authority which passed the resolution, on the ground that— (i) there was no ground for the making of the resolution, or (ii) that the resolution should in the interests of the child be determined. (3) An appeal shall lie to the High Court against the decision of a juvenile court under this section. (4) Section 7 of this Act shall apply in relation to proceedings under this section.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
