Perpetuities and Accumulations Act 2009
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
3 Power to specify exceptions
(1) The Lord Chancellor may by order provide that the rule against perpetuities is not to apply— (a) in cases of a specified description, or (b) if specified conditions are fulfilled. (2) Different descriptions and conditions may be specified for different purposes. (3) Any order under this section may include such supplementary, incidental, consequential or transitional provisions as appear to the Lord Chancellor to be necessary or expedient. (4) In this section “specified” means specified in the order. (5) The power to make an order under this section is exercisable by statutory instrument. (6) A statutory instrument containing an order under this section may not be made unless a draft of the instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
