Title 40 Trade and Commerce

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

(a) Except as otherwise provided, "lender" includes an assignee of the lender's right to payment but use of the term does not in itself impose on an assignee any obligation of the lender with respect to events occurring before the assignment. (b) A loan, refinancing, or consolidation is "precomputed" if the debt is expressed as a sum comprising the principal and the amount of the loan finance charge computed in advance. (c) "Principal" of a loan means the total of: (i) The net amount paid to, receivable by, or paid or payable for the account of the debtor; (ii) The amount of any discount excluded from the loan finance charge (W.S. 40-14-309(b)); and (iii) To the extent that payment is deferred: (A) Amounts actually paid or to be paid by the lender for registration, certificate of title or license fees if not included in paragraph (i) of this subsection; and (B) Additional charges permitted by this article (W.S. 40-14-311).

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
