Title 40 Trade and Commerce

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

(a) In applying the provisions of this act on unconscionability (W.S. 40-14-508 and 40-14-611) to a separate charge for insurance, consideration shall be given, among other factors, to: (i) Potential benefits to the debtor including the satisfaction of his obligations; (ii) The creditor's need for the protection provided by the insurance; and (iii) The relation between the amount and terms of credit granted and the insurance benefits provided. (b) If consumer credit insurance otherwise complies with this article and other applicable law, neither the amount nor the term of the insurance nor the amount of a charge therefor is in itself unconscionable.

Your change, as a redline

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
