Title 40 Trade and Commerce

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

Your change, as a redline

40-19-120. Merchant's defense.

(a) If a merchant establishes by a preponderance of the evidence that a violation of this act was unintentional, no penalty as specified in W.S. 40-19-118 shall be imposed and validity of the transaction shall not be affected. (b) A merchant shall not be liable under this act for any failure to comply with any requirement imposed under this act if within sixty (60) days after the merchant discovers an error, and prior to the institution of an action under this act or the receipt of written notice of the error from the consumer, the merchant notifies the consumer of the error and within seven (7) days, makes adjustments in the appropriate account necessary to correct the error.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
