Title 40 Trade and Commerce

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

40-26-125. Reasonable cause determination.

(a) The enforcing authority shall determine from the facts whether reasonable cause exists to believe that a discriminatory housing practice has occurred or is about to occur. The enforcing authority shall make this determination not later than the one hundredth day after the date a complaint is filed unless making the determination is impracticable, or the enforcing authority approves a conciliation agreement relating to the complaint. (b) If making the determination within the period is impracticable, the enforcing authority shall give in writing to the complainant and the respondent the reasons for the delay. If the enforcing authority determines that reasonable cause exists to believe that a discriminatory housing practice has occurred or is about to occur, the enforcing authority shall, except as provided by W.S. 40-26-127, immediately issue a charge on behalf of the aggrieved person.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.
