Le procureur d'Etat s'entoure de tous renseignements utiles aux différents lieux où le condamné a pu séjourner. Il se fait délivrer: 1°une expédition des jugements de condamnation; 2°un extrait du registre des punitions et récompenses des lieux de détention où la peine a été subie constatant quelle a été la conduite du condamné; 3°un relevé intégral des condamnations inscrites au casier judiciaire. Il transmet ces pièces avec son avis au procureur général d'Etat.
