Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006
Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.
Change 1
11 Surrender of licence
(1) Where a wireless telegraphy licence has expired or has been revoked, it is the duty of— (a) the person to whom the licence was granted, and (b) any other person in whose possession or under whose control the licence may be, to cause it to be surrendered to OFCOM if required by them to do so. (2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a licence that relates solely to receiving apparatus. (3) A person commits an offence if— (a) he has a duty under subsection (1) to cause a wireless telegraphy licence to be surrendered to OFCOM; and (b) without reasonable excuse he fails or refuses to do so. (4) A person who commits an offence under this section is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".
Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.
A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
