Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007

Write the words of this act the way you think they should read. Solon shows your change as a redline against the published text and pins it to that exact text, so it can never be applied to wording you did not see.

78 Intervention of the court

(1) If notice of enforcement is given in exercise (or purported exercise) of CRAR the court may make either or both of these orders on the application of the tenant— (a) an order setting aside the notice; (b) an order that no further step may be taken under CRAR, without further order, in relation to the rent claimed. (2) Regulations may make provision about— (a) the further orders that may be made for the purposes of subsection (1)(b); (b) grounds of which the court must be satisfied before making an order or further order. (3) In this section “the court” means the High Court or the county court, as rules of court may provide.

One line that says what changes, such as "Halve the dog tax".

Who it helps, what it costs, what it fixes. It is what persuades people to support it.

A proposal here is not law. Support on Solon is evidence that people want the change; the official route says what it takes to make it law.

Ask what your change would do, who would gain and who would bear a cost, and where something like it is already law. The assistant reads your draft as it stands, cites the law and the studies it finds, and takes no side. What you file stays yours.
